I quite like some classics narrated by characters - The Great Gatsby, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightand so forth but does anyone enjoy a novel narrated by someone or something less human?
I read "Fermin" in two days over easter and it was fab. Reminded me of Tibor Fischer's "the Collector Collector" which is narrated by a vase - brilliant observation in both of these.
Any others?

The lovely bones is narrated by a dead child.... The Book thief is narrated by Death Hey Nostradamus is partly narrated by a dead teenager....
Yes I'm noticing the theme to the books I read too.......

'Reaper Man' is about Death... But he is a DELICIOUS character. Oh, Death is one of his best characters. I love the fact that Death rides a horse called Binky!

'Reaper Man' is about Death... And just about the best book ever. Well, it's my favourite anyway. Not exactly highbrow I know... but just sublime.

'Reaper Man' is about Death... And just about the best book ever. Well, it's my favourite anyway. Not exactly highbrow I know... but just sublime. I was converted to Pratchett a few years ago (The Wee Free Men then Reaper Man) and am only sorry I didn't listen to my neice more years ago than I care to remember when she tried to get me to read his stuff.
One of the benefits of my time under the NHS' care last year was that I was able to catch up on a lot of the books I hadn't read yet!

I've recently been reunited with my collection of Terry Pratchett books as have finally cleared out the ex husbands loft of my stuff. My well worn copy of Reaper Man was there... I'm itching to read it again.

One of these days I'll sort out my Pratchett collection and read them all yet again.
I think I'll read about Music with Rocks In next!
