Are those Dandelions or Alliums I see? To the right just by the tree.

The only thing I would do would be to cut away the roughly the bottom quarter of the picture, so that the flowers (at the base of the tree on the right) are almost at the bottom of the picture.

I would cut away slightly less than Beau leaving the cows on the line of thirds. Or cut away as Beau says, plus remove a bit from the top of the picture to create a panoramic effect.
p.s. I do like the cow peeping from behind the tree just to get in the shot

They've got a suspiciously hungry look on their faces... *shudders* I know they're cute, but they still scare me!
Carl, those are most definitely dandies, my mum is obsessed by alliums and not sure if hers have made as impressive a show yet!

I just thought I'd try a panoramic view as the subject is idealy suited to the format

I like the black border - not!
Also not sure the [now] disembodied branches work.

I like the black border - not! Also not sure the [now] disembodied branches work. On looking again I agree about the branches but, I didn't want to leave that space empty. As for the border, it's down to personal preference, I think that a panoramic shot benefits from one and I did a simple black border rather than a fancy one.

The more I look at the original one, the more I like it. Great shot! Also good for caption competitions... Is the first hurdle at the Grand National, btw?
