Just found this which was taken a few years ago in Venice. I have tweaked the second one to enhance the colour and wondered what folk thought?

I think I prefer the first "untweaked" one, it looks more natural.

It's the second one for me

I agree with both of the above ;D
If I'd have done anything to that picture of a very nice lamp, I may have cropped a bit off the left and a tad off the bottom.

I reckon the original is by far the best, the detail stands out much better - just compare the iron neck on the dragon and the brickwork - the first is better. I've had a go, what do you think?

The original definitely is better. The definition of the wall and other buildings is better and the neck of the creature looks a tad over exposed in the tweaked one. The red and blue in the second picture do stand out more though, maybe this could have been done with a mask to leave the background unaltered?
If the shot had been taken to include slightly more of what is to the right and a bit less of the left, the coloured umbrellas? would still be close enough to a third, both vertically and horizontally and some of the distractions on the left would be lost. Still it is an impressive subject and one I'd like to have taken.

I prefer the first for the definition as others have said... but also, think you need the Rialto sign to add character - without it, it's just a picture of anywhere.
