I spotted this yesterday afternoon, quite by accident. I bent down to pick up some dropped leaves and as I straightened up, saw this underneath the weeping willow which was hiding it. it has the most glorious smell - very light, rose with a hint of cinnamon sugar overlaying it.

I think it may be this one Tigs: It is, (I'm afraid!) called Julio Iglesias. It looks like it matches yours and the description of the scent matches too.... etm.freshegg.com/customModules/apuldramRoses/products/images/JULIOIGLESIASMeistemon.jpg Here's the blurb... "The unique color, light cream strongly striped with red and the fragrance of a rare intensity described by the Perfumers in Grasse as "orange and grapefruit with a touch of Madagascar Verbena" should make this rose a real hit. (Meilland - France - 2007)"

Oh my GAWD!
My mother is going to laughing her socks off 'up there' at that - she was a bit of a fan!
Thank you, Ida!

I think it might be 'Intuition'. farm1.static.flickr.com/37/112002494_f053a16b75.jpgIt was planted before I met AH, I believe, certainly he doesn't ordinarily pick out roses to plant and that side of the front garden hasn't had a great deal of work doing to it. There's a lovely hosta out there with purplish flowers, and he didn't know that was there, either.
