I read this book a while ago and it was a jolly good read and I cried at the ending. So I was really up to see the film. It was directed by the same chappie that directed The Notebook and that was a brilliant film so I was expecting great things.
The way in which it was filmed was in keeping with the book, but why oh why must they spoil the book's ending like it was........slightly ruined the film for me, but only slightly.
I know, of course, that films of books are only 'based' on the novel, but to screw with the brilliant ending??!!
