They're a sod to shoot, aren't they? Sort of a 'guess when they'll go off and hope you click the shutter early enough' for me, anyway.
My wee Canon has a fireworks setting, but I found I got pretty good results with the Fuji (which hasn't) too.
I've posted some of my New Year firework photos on here before, the last couple of years.

Maybe not so impressive from the point of view of skill etc since I have spashed out on a new camera (not in the Strubs way, obviously) and was using that. The firework display is the village one which apparently disposed of nearly £1000 worth of fireworks in about half an hour!
