An MP dies, and finds his eternal soul parked outside two doors. One is marked 'HEAVEN' and the other 'HELL'. The Grim Reaper stands guard, and invites him to choose between the two. Cautiously, he opens the door to Heaven, and finds on the other side a place of calmness and serenity, the only activity being that of angels floating by, playing a note or two on a golden harp. More cautiously still, he opens the door marked 'HELL'........and is immediately welcomed in by a tuxedo'd doorman, who escorts him to a bar where cocktails are served. A show is in progress in a nearby room; young ladies are at hand to satisfy his every whim..... The Reaper calls him back to the two doors, and asks him to make his decision. Heaven or Hell? Well, it's a no-brainer, as they used to say on Earth, isn't it? Our man points to the door marked 'HELL'. The Reaper lets him in, and locks the door after him. Wow! It's turned extremely cold in here! The cocktail bar has gone; there's no sign of any show, and there are no young ladies...only anguished souls, staggering around purposelessly, endlessly, in the bitter, biting cold. Only the tuxedo'd doorman remains. The MP turns to him, and wails "What happened? Where is everyone - and every thing? I don't understand....the bar, the party, the girls...all gone! Why?" "Ah, yes", replies the doorman, "you were here for the campaign, weren't you? And after that....you voted."
