I'm walking The 147 mile Viking Way in 5 days from 24th to 28th July, inclusive for Cancer Research. It's supposed to be an easy walk, is it? Does anyone know?
I walked 84 mile Hadrian's Wall trail last year in 40 hours and 42 minutes.
I'd post my Just giving link but don't think it's allowed.

Dear Mrs U
1. What is the Viking Way? I am 1/8 Viking (my great grandmother was Norwegian) and I have never heard of it.
2. Go ahead and post your link. If anyone objects they can complain to me - go on if you think you're hard enough .
3. Good Luck ;D

The Viking Way is a long distance footpath which starts on the banks of the Humber in the north and winds its way through Lincolnshire to finish on the shores of Rutland Water, a total of 147 miles .
The route passes through the Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the market town of Horncastle, the Lincolnshire Limewoods, the City of Lincoln, the southern Lincolnshire Edge and the Kesteven Uplands before entering Leicestershire and Rutland.
Established in 1976, the name of the route was suggested by the Ramblers Association to reflect the influence of the Danelaw in the eastern counties of Britain.
The route is way-marked throughout its length with a Viking helmet.

Thanks for the best wishes. My husband keeps coming up with these bright ideas to walk great distances lol. He thought that as I did a Roman walk last time, Viking would be good. My name is supposed to have Viking origins as Udall is something to do with the Norse God of Winter Ullr. The link to my sponsorship page. I just saw on You Tube that two women actually walked 158 miles along the Viking Way in under 50 hours, pretty good going. I have a companion who is also doing it for Cancer Research Uk. www.justgiving.com/Louise-Udall-Waring0
