It has been a bit of a sad day today, it is one year aniversary of losing Mum so have been quite sad at times. I went to the cemetery earlier and just stood for a while, reminising, with the birds singing in the background, very quiet at the cemetery with just my brother and I and the birds for company. Mum is with Dad now so hope they are happy at being reunited but why is it you know how much your parents did for you when it is too late to thank them, I wish I had the chance. I did everything I could for Mum and Dad, especially Mum in the latter years as I was only 15 when Dad passed away, but it all comes to realization what they did once they are gone. You know your parents love you and boy do you miss them when they are gone.

Vera, my Mum passed away just over 5 years ago, my dad in 1992 , and by gum I still miss them both, so I know how you're feeling today. It is hard sometimes to accept, but remember they are the ones who made you what you are, so they will always be with you whatever you are doing, their traits and characteristics carry on through you .
*Hugs*.

Oh Vera - I am so sorry that I didn't see this before setting off across country on Saturday.
Have a belated special hug.

Hugs from me too. The years go by far too quickly - nearly 21 years for me since I lost my dad
