I recommend this film. It is excellent. Wonderful performances from the cast - Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith....
It is a feel good movie with a poignant edge to it.

Thanks for the recommendation. It definitely looks like my kind of film. And from the synopsis below, it seems like a TOGS holiday in India!
Director: John Madden - Cast: Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Tom Wilkinson, Dev Patel, Penelope Wilton, Celia Imrie, Russell Balogh, Liza Tarbuck, Lillete Dubey - : For a desparate group of English pensioners, retirement takes an unconventional turn when they abandon their homeland, enticed by advertisements for THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL, a seemingly luxurious sanctuary for "the elderly and beautiful" in Jaipur, India. On arrival they discover that the hotel falls somewhat short of the romantic idyll promised in the brochure, but they are gradually won over by the ever-optimistic young manager Sonny, and tentatively embark on a new adventure, finding that life can begin again when you let go of the past.

I went to see this last night.
The cast is packed with the elder states-folk of British cinema and they all work well together.
I felt the plot was a bit on the weak side but the screenplay has been well adapted from Deborah Moggach's book "These foolish things" on which it is based. There are some great lines and these are shared around the cast, there isn't really a "star".
I can't call this a "must see", but do look out for it when it comes to TV.
