Can anyone out there help please? Has anyone been to the USA and know what is meant in recipes by 'half and half' and 'heavy cream'.
Got a recipe book of BC but don't know what exactly these two items are and as she seems to use them in most recipes I am lost.
Thanks

Nearest UK equivalent to heavy cream is double cream, but I don't believe they are exactly the same thing as double cream is a little heavier (more fat content).
