A local bash ! Sounds great. Count me in, though I dont have a clue where Wickwar is... There are lots and lots of good pubs within easy reach of Stroud which is good and central and has a train station. The Lodge at Minchinhampton, The Halfway House, Box, The Amberley Inn, The Ram in Woodchester ? Cheers, Ken. Sounds good to me, I'm easy as to where, Wickwar was just a first suggestion. What about a date though? how about a bank holiday, or would that conflifct with folks holidays do you think?

Partners are absolutely fine by me, PMM isn't a TOG but I'll be dragging her along! As I said before, I don't mind WHERE in Glos we hold it do YOU have a pub / bar / hall / ?? that you can think of that'll do? I've never been to a Get TOGether and have no idea how many people want to come to this one. I suppose once we fix a date and venue more people can decide if they'll be able to make it? As for recognising one another, I look a lot like my Avatar (only perhaps a little bit fatter) and will be wearing my TOGs sweatshirt. Can't be many like me around!

how do we recognise each other?! As a veteran basher I can tell you that it's surprisingly easy - the look of bewilderment is unmissable!

i'm nearby!! i'll try!! but where the chuff is wickwar?! Wickwar is only a suggested venue, I'm quite happy for other places to be put forward. I suggested the Wickwar pub cuz a) it has a good sized carpark and b) they have a travel lodge type business so those who might want to get blotto not want to drive home can stay. Wickwar is about 4 miles from junction 14 of the M5, another good reason for having a bash there, easy access. When do you think we should arrange it for, February, March April, May.......? Looked at the map..... found it!!!..... count us in please. The end Feb/ beginning March might be good, but we'll go with the flow.....

You got that right Ivy, I remember my first bash at Norma's, and whilst driving down a country lane wondering if I was even close to Norma's house, a white haired chap suddenly appeared at the end of Norma's drive; I later found out this was everyone's favourite Tog Nobbin. Actually looking back on it I reckon there was probably more bewilderment on my face LOL ;D

I've spoken to the landlord of The Buthay pub in Wickwar and asked about the rooms he lets. He has 5 double rooms which go at £50 per night but if we fill all of them he'll probably give a concession but they are popular so if we decide to hold it there he'll want notice of numbers requiring rooms (plus of course A DATE!) Food is done til 2pm lunch time and 9pm evening if we want to eat. TOGs, want food? I should think so! I told him it was a get TOGether, explaining about TOGs and he says he listens to the Jerry Logan show but has never contributed, so an honoury TOG perhaps? ;D Shall we go ahead and get this thing rolling (Wickwar or anywhere else!) or is it going to fizzle out?

Gloucester is a small city that wishes it were in Herefordshire Gloucester and Gloucestershire are both glad that they are not in Herefordshire. Look what happened when Herefordshire and Worcestershire were joined together. The people of the lovely county of Worcestershire protested for years until independence was re-established. I personally like Herefordshire but it is still 1973 there.
