S'ok by me, The Buthay doesn't have a website to my knowledge but there's this... www.britishpubguide.com/cgi-bin/pub.cgi?results:Gloucestershire:919 (copy n paste, not clickable) if you want an idea of what it's like. I'm up for either venue, The Amberly has more rooms but they're more expensive but as I'll come home to my own truckle bed in my own hovel it doesn''t really matter to me (me me me ) Shall we sort a date out first then arrange where? As an opening bid I'll suggest Saturday March 31st, any objections/ other offers?

Ken In finest Conrad stylee.... Yes..... Or No. Bar food would do me but we should work out who / how many are coming and the practicalities of sit down nosh before we commit to anything, shall we just say drinkies for now until we have numbers? If there's loads sit down tucker might be a little bit harder.

*Ivy trying to help*
If you decide on a venue that does grub, people can decide when/if to eat.

Zappel here. The original and the best despite all yeterday's nonsense with the clones! I'm in the Nailsworth area, which might be seen as nicely in the middle for those coming up from South Gloucestershire and those from further north like Newent or even just over the border into Hefferodshire. The Amberley Inn is a good place but if you want a real culinary experience, wonderful local (Uley) beer and a pub of great character, all at a sensible price, you'll find it hard to beat The Weighbridge Inn, just outside Nailsworth www.2in1pub.co.uk The pies are to die for. The pub has a very large room upstairs which we should be able to book, depending on numbers. It doesn't offer accommodation but it's only two miles from the Amberley Inn, if that's where some are thinking of overnighting/nightcapping. I know Sir Blimely Windy is threatening to make an appearance and I'll be able to put him up overnight (if we reinforce the guest bed and tie down the crockery and cutlery) I just have to say, Gloucestershire is blessed with some of the great TOGs and I just hope that your psychiatrists/social workers are prepared to let you all out for a gathering (or the Quickening as it was called in Highlander) I will ensure that Sat 31 Mar is good for me, Ken. How is it for everyone else? Looking forward to meeting you all. Adam

Well, it all sounds fantabulosa, but I am away in Germany on an exchange from Saturday 24th March until Sunday 1st April so, unless the date is moved back a week, to the 6th April (Easter Saturday) young Zappel will not need to tie down the crockery - hope he hasn't reinforced the bed yet!
