I believe my deathstar may be in close orbit over Gloucestershire at the end of March/early April. Will it be fancy dress? If it is I will need a suit. I have researched this and the on board computer comes up with MOSS BROS.
I do not understand what a green growth has to do with a 1980s boy group, but believe I have enough time to research this.

I am often accused of being in fancy dress when I wear my "normal" clothes.

I only wear my fancy dresses when my bestest friends come on board and leave their weapons at the reception desk.

Not yet, Diablo, but with the shift towards a Glos/Hairyford Axis of Evil, I would definitely nominate Nailsworth. I would suggest the 7th April as I don't want the Great Suprendo Sir Blimely Windy to miss this - last time he got a round in Maggie was still PM!
Final say should be with MM, who suggested this gettogether in the first place. If Mihatt gives his blessing, I would be happy to do some of the arrangements - like making a booking at the Weighbridge if that suits everyone and I could also do a little research on local accommodation. The Amberley Inn is one - we've stayed there and it's excellent. The Egypt Mill is another but I'm not sure on prices. A cardboard box in the middle of the road is another about which I could wax lyrical - but we have moved onto solid ground now.

Time has now come for someone to get a grip. State places and dates as a poll on basis that top of each prevails OR DO I NEED TO GET OUT MY SECRET WEAPON TO ENFORCE SOME LOGIC?
My secret weapon is CLINT of the DEXTROUS LIGNUM avec la plus grande puissance

Stop Press:
Amberley Inn is £96 for a double (no single rate) (A bit rich?)
The Egypt Mill (www.egyptmill.com) offers Singles @ £65; doubles @ £80. It's only 1 mile from the Weighbridge. Alternatively, we could do the whole thing at the Egypt Mill and avoid the use of cars.
Over to the Glostogs.....

Please keep your weapon under cover - I've gone all queasy!

So ok, is there a final place/date/venue set for this bash? I happen to know it'll be a certain old G!t's birthday at the end of march. Maybe linking the two together might be a good plan!

Hi Hoof, I agree, the prices were a bit of a shocker! Here's another suggestion that's much better on price and brilliant for location (same road as the Weighbridge): www.jubilee-cottage.co.uk/with Singles @ £35; doubles @ £45 I'll look at the dates later but I think Hugh's suggestion of a poll to decide location and dates will work well. I think a little later in April might suit more Glostogs.

It might be an expensive round for the Birthday Boy, Diablo, although I haven't seen much in the way of confirmations apart from you, me and Sir Blimely Windy.
(That's by way of a subtle hint to all the other GlosTOGs who know they're coming, from a Glos TOG at Ground Zero who would also like to know, so that a certain landlord of the Amberley variety can start making cunning plans for us)

By the way, hearty congratulations for your outstanding contribution to WUTW this morning. Great timing and great praise from STW when you suggested that playing Lovely Day by Bill Withers was the appropriate description for Bernard's poor turkeys! I was shocked to hear the credit given to your real name rather than your TOG identity! That's another pint you owe us all at Glosbash!!!
