I'm so sad to hear that Sir Terry has passed away and was unaware that he been so seriously ill. There are so many happy memories - particularly form his 'Wake Up To Wogan' days and these will always be with me. Farewell Togmeister and thank you for everything you did to make us happy and to raise money for the less privileged. You will be sadly missed.

Without Terry Nestavipers and I would never have met, fallen in love and married.
He has a lot to answer for!
Lovely man and will be sadly missed.

Don't be sad... be happy he chose to spend his broadcasting life entertaining us with his unique take on humour. Today, go out for a drive, play some Beach Boys maybe. And give those stearing wheel bongos a workout :-)

Sad to see him go. I feel he'd say, "Listen folks, don't let this be a nail in the coffin of life, if you see what I mean. Does any body know what I mean?"

I feel that we have all lost a friend today. Sir Terry made us laugh out loud, giggle and sometimes shed a tear or two. We must continue to hold his legacy as an example of what he was a gentleman entertainer.

So deeply sad yesterday. I put on R2 as soon as I got the bulletin. I too, feel as though I have lost a friend although I never met the great man. Knew I had to find my password because I know I not the only one feeling this way. It's good to know all the others TOGs and TYGs are out there.
RIP Sir Tel, missed so much already!
Feel lucky I was able to see his Sunday show live not long after it started and hear a Janet and John story live.
Just so sad as thought we had a good few more years of him on radio.

So sorry to hear the sad news. He will be back with Pauly now wreaking havoc up there to be sure!! Listened to Chris Evans this morning and he played some hilarious bits from sir Tel's past breakfast shows.
Rest in peace sir

Him Upstairs has been waiting to take Tel back to live in his heart, just as he lives in ours. Thank you for being our friend for so long. See you when we get there. xxx

I know that there’s a risk that I might come across like the person who moans that their local village pub has closed even though they hardly ever visited it, but isn’t it a real shame that so few TOGS still log on to this forum? Looking back to what it was like only a few years ago it’s a shadow of its former self. At the time of typing (6th February) only 14 tributes to Sir Terry have been posted since the day of his passing a week ago. Well done and thank you to those of you who have taken the trouble to post your feelings. But to be honest the great man deserves so much more.
In fact I could go further and say that the internet as a whole has turned out to have been a real disappointment in honouring Sir Terry. Whilst thankfully the BBC Radio 2 website features some lovely tributes and clips, the allegedly official Terrywogan, com website displays just a blank white screen (!) and, unless someone who is fluent in Chinese can tell me otherwise, togs.org doesn’t even have anything to do with the Togmewister and his loyal band of followers! Admittedly there is an official Terry Wogan Facebook page, which although hasn’t been updated since early November 2015, does contain some nice comments. However, the TOGS Facebook page is hidden from public view and access to it is by invitation only.
A week on from Sir Terry’s untimely passing I still feel a great sense of loss and sadness, tinged from time to time with smiles when I recall the excesses of WUTW and ‘Janet in John’ in particular.
Where are the TOGS and where are the tributes?

Where are the TOGS and where are the tributes? I know what you mean. It's just another sign of that "age" thing creeping up. I've been to more funerals in the last 18 months of acquaintances than I went to in the previous 5 years. It's a scary suddenly realising that some of them were less than ten years in age difference and two of them were younger! The TOGS are here and there, the tributes are in this thread by the look of it. “You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm.” - Colette

Where are they now, those faerie folk Who once dwelt in my wood When I was young, who played with me And taught me what they could? I'd hear the Dryad sing her song In the shadow by a twisting stream. I'd chase the elves and they'd chase me, I'd hide behind a magic tree, Or in a moonlight beam.
Where did they go? When did they leave? I can't recall the day. Did I say goodbye to them And watch them go away? Or did I just forget to look One day when I was older? Did I, perhaps, just slip astray, Neglect to go one winter day, A world-wise youth, and getting colder?
I'll go back now to the wood Again to find the grace, The long-missed fun of tiny folk, Of meeting faeries face to face. We'll meet and I will stay this time. I'll not again forget their names. I'm younger now, not near so wise As when I wore a young man's guise. It's time I joined their games.

The FB Togs site is alive and well but is a closed site and as you say, by invitation only. But it has around 950 members and that is where the Togs are and the tributes. If you would like to be amongst Togs, then apply to join - you'll receive a warm welcome.
