What a brilliant thread. Thanks for the clicky to Ian Dury. will be sining that for days now. Got a couple for you If you like English music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5h4PFBuzvwYou maybe interested to know that Gilbert O'sullivan will be playing Glastonbury on the Accustic stage on saturday. Also playing that same day in the same tent will be... Wait for it THE BLOCKHEADS... The thought of Norman playing an accustic bass just tickles me... Also (Ere Dinah you'll like this) Seasick Steve and The Feelingis playing both the Pyramid stage and the accustic stage.. Good for them... I swore that i wouldn't go again after 2000. I had a wonderful time there that year.. Even if the fence was breached and there was well over 350,000 people there.. I never saw any trouble and everyone had a smile on their face's.. Mind you that could have been due to something eles... Who know's.. But i was of the opinion that i would never again see the likes of Willie Nelson and David Bowie on the same stage ever again.. wonderful memories.

Sounds like a great line up, Slinky & I'd LOVE to see them all (especially Gilbert, as I've already seen Seasick), but I'm afraid my Glastonbury days are well & truly over. I had a great time when I went years ago, but these days I've become so TOGgy that mud, wind, rain, porta-loos & camping in general are soooooooo not my idea of a good time. These days, I only go to gigs if we can book into a nice hotel nearby - and preferably the gig will have seating too, as my back can't take standing up for too long. Being a bit of a short-@rse, even seating can be a problem if everyone decides to stand up! Hey ho, at least I can still get to some gigs & enjoy them - which I hope to continue doing until they put me in my box!!! ;D

i'm not sure but i think they i s playing Glastonbury too...
Personally i alway's love Glastonbery in the rain.. Not to much mind.. It kept the plebs away.. Only now they seem to be the only ones that are going there now... All those kids that were made there have somehow turned into complete Twonks...Still i suppose that means that we know where they all are for at least one weekend in the year...

Saw them at Birmingham Symphony Hall with Fairport a couple of years back and also doing a full gig of their own at Cropredy (spot the connection?). Steve Knightley and Phil Beer are two of the best musicians in the UK IMHO.
